Another week, another mock draft from NFL.com, this time from Chad Reuter. Who are the Jacksonville Jaguars getting this time? Jonathan Allen? Jamal Adams? Myles Gar-
Malik Hooker?
That’s right — Malik Hooker. Well, Reuter went four rounds, who did he have the Jaguars picking through the first half of the 2017 NFL Draft. Here are Reuter’s picks for the Jaguars in Rounds 1-4:
Round 1, No. 4 overall: Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State
Round 2, No. 35 overall: Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
Round 3, No. 68 overall: Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
Round 4, No. 105 overall: Taylor Moton, G, Western Michigan
Mother of God.
If Hooker is the pick at No. 4 overall, I’m throwing myself off the Buckman Bridge — not because he’s a poor player (because he is) but because getting a safety that high doesn’t make sense when the Jaguars have so many other needs on the roster.
Humphrey is probably a first round talent, so that’s fine.
Engram had a good Senior Bowl, so sure?
Moton is versatile as he played tackle in college and guard at the Senior Bowl, so... again... sure?
But if this is the haul from the first four rounds for the Jaguars then... woof.
