The Jacksonville Jaguars have been busy in the last week. They’re reportedly sending tight end Julius Thomas to the Miami Dolphins for a late-round draft pick in 2017. Simultaneous to that, they are reportedly bringing left tackle Branden Albert over for a late-round draft pick in 2018. All the while they re-signed Abry Jones, Chad Henne, Arrelious Benn, Tyler Shatley, Josh Wells while releasing Jared Odrick and Kelvin Beachum.

According to a league source, Julius Thomas passed a physical that was necessary to complete his pending trade to the Miami Dolphins. The Jacksonville Jaguars tight end has also reportedly agreed to restructure his contract, potentially lowering his base salary in 2018 and 2019. Neither Thomas’ deal, nor the corresponding deal which sends left tackle Branden Albert to Jacksonville for a late-round pick in 2018, can be finalized until March 9, which is the start of the new league year.
