Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew was almost drafted by Tony Dungy -

They wound up taking Joseph Addai in the first round, but it turns out they came pretty close to taking Maurice Jones-Drew instead. On the Dave Dameshek Football Program recently, MJD recalled the story of how he got a call from Tony Dungy on draft day, and posted the video yesterday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been taking care of some of their impending free agents and depth players prior to the start of NFL free agency on March 9. If you are less than thrilled with what the Jacksonville Jaguars have done since the end of the 2016 regular season, you certainly aren’t alone. Count me among the many who are lukewarm about the hiring of Doug Marrone to the permanent head coach position and the decision to keep the same offensive and defensive coordinators.
