The Chicago Bears are signing former Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Prince Amukamara, according to Mike Garofolo of NFL Network and NFL.com. Amukamara signed a one-year contract with the Jaguars last offseason and was not re-signed.
Bears will be signing former Giants, Jags CB Prince Amukamara, source says.

The Jaguars signed Amukamara to a one-year deal late last offseason, which appeared to be a "prove it" deal for the former New York Giants first-round pick. Amukamara had been good with the Giants, when he was healthy. That was always the key for Amukamara and the concern of any team signing him in free agency, which is why it appeared he didn't receive any long-term offers.
With the Jaguars targeting A.J. Bouye as their No. 2 cornerback opposite Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Colvin as a solid nickel option, there just wasn’t room for him. Amukamara wasn’t a bad player, but he was a little less consistent than the team probably wanted and a better option was out there in free agency.
