If ESPN’s Adam Schefter is correct, the Jacksonville Jaguars will be landing coveted free agent cornerback A.J. Bouye. That’s according to a conversational guess on-air and not an official report however.
Schefter said his best guess was Bouye to JAX. Not a report. https://t.co/UjACGrRw4h

After cutting Davon House and seemingly cutting ties with Prince Amukamara, the only legitimate cornerbacks on the Jaguars’ roster are Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Colvin. It’s a no-brainer they want to go hard for one of A.J. Bouye and Stephen Gilmore. But with Gilmore having some choice words for his former head coach Doug Marrone after he left the Buffalo Bills (and the fact that Bouye had the better year last year) the top choice would be Bouye.
Pairing Bouye and Ramsey in the secondary would be a lot of fun and give the Jaguars one of the top cornerback duos in the NFL.
But it all depends on the money and, frankly, Bouye’s loyalty to the Texans. If he stays with Houston, it won’t be for lack of trying on Jacksonville’s part — whose front office is now run by the more aggressive Tom Coughlin, who took the reigns from general manager Dave Caldwell in January.
