The Jacksonville Jaguars landed one of the top free agents in the 2017 class — former Houston Texans cornerback A.J. Bouye.

Bouye, considered to be the best cornerback on the free agent market, had himself a breakout season with the Houston Texans in 2016. Starting 11 games in place of an injured Kevin Johnson, Bouye allowed only 47.9% of his targets to be completed, averaging only 10.8 yards per reception (per Matt Harmon of NFL.com). He had one interception and 16 defended passes in 2016, and has recorded six interceptions and 32 defended passes in his four year career.
This is big news, and a huge move for the Jaguars. This move will help to re-haul the secondary, pairing two rising stars at corner with Bouye and Jalen Ramsey. The team has also reportedly agreed to terms with Barry Church to come in and be the new strong safety, so it’s pretty clear that the secondary will have a whole new look this year.
Do you like the signing? Or do you think we gave too much away to Bouye?
