Madden 17 Club Series: Eli Clayton takes Jaguars to finals

The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to the championship. They’re just not going to be led by Doug Marrone, Shad Khan, or Tom Coughlin.

According to Jacksonville.com, Eli Clayton qualified as one of only eight finalists in the Madden 17 Club Series finals on Saturday night in Los Angeles, California. Clayton, a 20-year-old professional gamer, won the Jacksonville division of the tournament to make it to the finals. A total of eight NFL teams hosted preliminary tournaments to see who would represent the Jaguars.

The other seven clubs to host tournaments include the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Minnesota Vikings

Clayton, who lives in California opted to enter the Jacksonville division despite living across the country.

“I felt like I had a better chance here compared to San Francisco, New England or Minnesota,” he said. “And Jacksonville was a nice stadium.”
