2017 NFL Draft results: Jaguars select Leonard Fournette

The Jacksonville Jaguars have selected LSU running back Leonard Fournette with the No. 4 overall pick. For most people, this was the easiest and most obvious pick for the Jaguars, as their running game hasn't been the same since Maurice Jones-Drew left a few years ago.

The pick of Fournette definitely signals the Jaguars want to be more of a physical smash mouth team, so their offense will match what the defense  put on the field last season. Fournette is a supremely talented running back who can punish defenses with power and get chunks of yardage with speed, if the blocking in front of him paves him the way. He's not the most agile running back, but when Fournette has running lane, he picks up speed quickly and can hit the home run.

While there are plenty of arguments to be made about the value of picking a running back in the Top 5, it's clear that general manager Dave Caldwell and Tom Coughlin believe Fournette is the kind of special talent that warrants the selection.
