2017 NFL Draft rumors: Coughlin loves Deshaun Watson?

The QB at 4 rumors are hot, and some national media analysts are buying into it.

With the first round of the NFL draft taking place today, rumors are hot off the press and flying.

One that has picked up the most heat is that the Jaguars are interested in drafting a quarterback with the fourth overall pick, especially Clemson QB Deshaun Watson. Some fans love the idea, with Blake Bortles coming off of an awful 2016 season. Some fans hate it, and want to give Bortles another chance with a better coaching staff and team around him in 2017.

No matter where you want to put your faith, this rumor is picking up heat from even national media people such as Pete Prisco of CBS (and former Jaguars beat writer) and Jason Cole of Bleacher Report.

These tweets come the morning of the draft, and after days of chatter signaling the Jaguars are interested in Deshaun Watson, so the rumor truly seems to have some fire to it.

Reports surfaced a couple weeks ago that Coughlin also loves LSU running back Leonard Fournette. If either Watson or Fournette are the pick at fourth overall, it will certainly seem like Coughlin is “in control” here in Jacksonville.

Rumors around draft time are simply that: Rumors. We won't know who the Jaguars really “love” until they make their pick tonight. However, if these tweets from Prisco and Cole are legitimate, then it certainly seems the Jaguars view an upgrade at QB as a big need.
