The Jacksonville Jaguars have drafted linebacker Blair Brown with the No. 148 overall pick, despite the fact that the Jaguars have a crowded group of linebackers on the team already.

The team went back to the defensive side of the ball after picking wide receiver Dede Westbrook in the fourth round and added another body to the linebacking group and it’s not a bad pick — Brown made the All-MAC team as a first teamer for the 2016 season.
At 5-foot-11 and 238-pounds, the Jaguars will likely cross-train Brown at all three linebacker positions as well as expect him to contribute on special teams. Brown is a run and chase linebacker who is at his best playing down hill and is decent in coverage, but can struggle in man coverage.
Brown will likely play backup SLB on the Jaguars and contribute on special teams.
