The 2017 NFL Draft is over and the Jacksonville Jaguars built up their offense early in the draft while finding defenders later who can hopefully plug into specific roles.

Seven picks and three of the first four were on offense. That tells you that this Jaguars front office and Tom Coughlin believe that the defense is in place and that playmakers are needed for the offense. They said as much leading up to the draft, but now that this draft is over they proved it.
The latter half of the draft was filled with players who represented positions deep in the draft — a cornerback and a running back (who is supposedly a fullback) but the final two rounds are just a preferred UDFA section anyway, so why not?
