The Jacksonville Jaguars have drafted cornerback Jalen Myrick with the No. 222 overall pick. I was wondering when the Jaguars would realize this is a deep cornerback class and go after somebody.

If Myrick’s name sounds familiar, it’s because he ran a 4.28 40-yard dash at the 2017 NFL Combine, the only person faster being Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick John Ross.
On the smallish side for an NFL defensive back, it’s likely Myrick will get playing time early as a special teamer and compete for a role as an inside cornerback. Myrick started 21 games in his college career at Minnesota, playing in a total of 47 games, picking off five passes.
The Jaguars have one more pick remaining in the 2017 NFL Draft, pick 240, which was acquired from the Miami Dolphins in the Julius Thomas trade. With it being the seventh round of the draft, the Jaguars pick could be literally any position, but will likely be a player they’re not sure they’ll get in free agency.
