The Jacksonville Jaguars had all of their starting nickel secondary out of practice on Tuesday for the first day of organized team activities (OTAs), one because Jalen Ramsey was not at practice and the others because some players were dealing with injuries that are not considered serious.
Thanks to Mike DiRocco of ESPN and his appearance on Jaguars Today on 1010XL, we know a little more about the injuries. Cornerback Aaron Colvin was in a walking boot, though he did not elaborate which foot and veteran safety Barry Church is dealing with a back issue.
As expected, DiRocco indicated that it’s only May and none of these injuries should really be a huge concern. If players are held out of mandatory practices in a few weeks it might be time to worry, but where we sit right now it’s not a huge deal. It’s also worth noting again that the Jaguars do not have to disclose injuries at this point in the offseason.
