Blake Bortles was not a very accurate quarterback throwing deep last year — and nowhere is that stat more exemplified than the fact that Kevin Love completed more 20-yard passes than the Jacksonville Jaguars last year.
That’s right, according to Chris Herring’s astute observations and impeccable research, Love is apparently very good at heaving the ball down the court and finding his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates — better in fact than five NFL teams last year.

Granted, this only includes passes that traveled 20 yards in the air before being caught during both the 2016-17 NFL and NBA regular seasons. It also doesn’t include plays on which a receiver’s run after the catch helped push it past the 20-yard mark.
