What anonymous scouts have to say about Jaguars draft pick Blair Brown

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Moving on wading through the quotes of anonymous scouts on 2017 NFL Draft picks, we move on to Ohio linebacker Blair Brown, who the Jacksonville Jaguars picked in the fifth round. Brown played both middle linebacker and weakside linebacker in college, and my guess would be he starts out as a backup to all three spots for the Jaguars and plays special teams.

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is the best source for these quotes, as he typically will rank prospects and then provide quotes on all of them from anonymous scouts around the league. The anonymous scouts didn't have much to say about Brown, but they made me laugh.

Here's what the anonymous scouts had to say about Brown:

1. "He's a tough (expletive)," one scout said. "He has some jolt. Just doesn't use his hands. Better in man than zone. His eyes are inconsistent. Some question his smarts but he will hit the (expletive) out of you. Not a great interview. Can really run."

2. "At the end of the day he's a small man," said another scout. "He is a big hitter."
