With just 89 days until kickoff, let’s talk about the greatest No. 89 the Jacksonville Jaguars have ever known — Marcedes Lewis!

Marcedes Lewis (2006-Present)

We're finally out of the 90's, meaning we can start looking at tight ends and wide receivers, but the No. 89 jersey doesn't have us looking at very many of those. Lewis is the only Jaguars player in franchise history to score a touchdown while wearing the No. 89 jersey.

In fact, the only other two players to wear No. 89 were Curtis Marsh and Chris Luzar — largely special teams guys who combined for 11 receptions and 162 yards in their combined four seasons.

A first-round pick by the Jaguars in 2006, Lewis is one of the oldest players on the current roster. But he regained his starting spot away from Julius Thomas who was traded away earlier in the offseason. He’ll look to add to his career totals in 11 years with Jacksonville. Lewis currently has 4,184 yards and 28 touchdowns and one Pro Bowl selection.
