30 Day Challenge: Your Favorite Current Jaguars Player

For the month of June we'll ask a different Jacksonville Jaguars related question to our readers. It’s the dead season and this will help us all get to know each other a little better.

In continuation of our “30 day challenge”, I must ask fellow Jaguars fans: Who is your favorite player currently on the Jaguars roster?

If you can’t tell by some of my following tweets (shameless plug, follow me on Twitter)...

...my favorite current Jaguars player is none other than cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Ramsey enters his second season as a pro with All-Pro expectations, as he ended his rookie season looking like one. The former fifth overall pick ended his rookie campaign with 65 tackles, two interceptions (including one pick-six), 14 defended passes, and a forced fumble. Ten of his defended passes and both interceptions came in the final three games on the 2016 season.

Not only did Ramsey flash his elite talent to end the season, but he also brought swagger to the football field that the Jaguars haven’t seen since, well, let’s just call it a real long time.

Whether it be knocking a player out of bounds hard enough to send them flying, get into Steve Smith’s head, claim he’d fight back nine times out of ten after being ejected for fighting against the Raiders, Jalen Ramsey knows and displays one thing: He isn’t going to be disrespected.

I played defensive back when I played football, and my two favorite aspects of playing in the secondary were getting my hands on the ball and hitting wide receivers. Jalen Ramsey is the perfect example of what I tried to be as a football player, and his hysterical, cocky attitude is what makes football fun.

Who’s your favorite player currently on the Jaguars roster? You tell me!
