30 Day Challenge: Your Favorite Place To Watch Jaguars Games

For the month of June we'll ask a different Jacksonville Jaguars related question to our readers. It’s the dead season and this will help us all get to know each other a little better.

In recent years, the Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t been much fun to watch. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have a favorite place to watch them. In fact, the awful performances on the field have probably made you optimize your off-the-field viewing places, tailgates, and hangout spots.

Where’s your favorite place to watch Jaguars games?

In the past decade, I’ve moved around quite a bit and so finding a place to regularly plant myself during Jaguars games has been tough.

When I was finished with college in 2008, I was living in St. Augustine. My favorite place to watch a game was probably a place called J.P. Henley’s. They had a ton of beers on tap, their Mahi Mahi sandwich with wasabi mayonnaise was to die for, and they sold a glass growler that I could refill for super cheap — and did I ever need refilling it.

Fast forward to 2012 when I moved to Connecticut. My neighborhood bar never showed the game, but there’s was a soccer pub called Anna Liffey’s that didn’t know what to do with me for the first couple of months I went in. But after about Week 8, they saw I was actually serious about watching Jaguars games and let me pound ciders and use their Wi-Fi for live blogging.

Now I’m back in Tallahassee for the foreseeable future and there’s no real place near me that consistently shows the games and has good enough Wi-Fi to live blog. It’s usually my back porch or living room for Jaguars games.

What about you? Where is your favorite place to watch a Jaguars game?
