The Jaguars made significant moves this offseason to improve their defense, offensive line, and their running back group. The Jaguars signed cornerback A.J. Bouye, safety Barry Church, and defensive end Calais Campbell to improve the defense. Then, Jacksonville traded for veteran left tackle Branden Albert and drafted Cam Robinson in the second round. Lastly, the Jaguars drafted Leonard Fournette with the fifth overall pick in the NFL Draft.

It’s the offseason and time for rankings and lists, as we saw when Pro Football Focus ranked the NFL rosters and the Jacksonville Jaguars ended up in the bottom half of the league. While PFF ranked the overall rosters, they’ve moved to breaking down and ranking individual units for teams from this past season, starting with the offensive line. The Jaguars rank probably much higher than you’d think, too.

On May 1, the Jaguars picked up Blake Bortles’ fifth year option. This made perfect financial sense, as outlined by Executive Vice President Tom Coughlin and NFL.com’s Conor Orr. If Bortles gets his career back on track to pre-2016 form, Jacksonville enjoys another year of a relatively economical quarterback. If not, they can cut him and move on, as his money is only guaranteed for injury.
