With just 68 days until kickoff, let’s talk about why last year’s No. 68 Kelvin Beachum was let go.
Why do you think the Jaguars let go of Kelvin Beachum?
I’m not going to say that the Jaguars not deciding to pick up Beachum’s option was earth-shattering, but it was a bit of a head-scratcher.
Beachum had a solid season coming back from an ACL tear in 2015 and entering the 2017 season he improved. Fact of the matter is, the Jaguars created an unnecessary hole on their roster by letting Beachum go and had to go after newly traded Branden Albert. I’m not saying Beachum was the reincarnation of Tony Boselli, but he was somehwere between average and above average.
So why spend unnecessary risk and resources trying to not only replace him but get better?
I have no idea, but maybe you do. Why do you think Beachum was allowed to go into free agency and sign with the New York Jets?
