Jacksonville Jaguars 2017 NFL training camp is right around the corner, so that means we can start going position by position looking at the roster and who will make the final 53-man. We’re going to look at who we think is safe at each position, which means the chances of being cut are very slim and would be a big surprise. We’ll also point out who we think are on the bubble, which means it’s a player that is going to need to impress and show their value during camp and the preseason.
First up, quarterbacks.
Who is safe: Everyone
Yep. Everyone. I don’t think that the Jaguars cut any of their quarterbacks. They’ll enter the 2017 training camp with Blake Bortles, Chad Henne and Brandon Allen. They’ll exit training camp and enter the 2017 regular season with... Bortles, Henne and Allen.
Who is on the Bubble: No one
There are scenarios where a quarterback could be cut, obviously. However, I don’t believe that any of them are on what we would consider the “bubble”. It’s possible Brandon Allen could surpass Chad Henne on the depth chart with his play, which then likely means Henne isn’t worth keeping as the third quarterback, but at this point that’s hard to see actually coming to fruition.
