Leonard Fournette is third-highest rated rookie in Madden

Leonard Fournette is the third-best rookie in the 2017 NFL Draft, regardless of position.

That’s according to the newest Madden ratings, who have the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back at an 81 overall. Below are his five main ratings with an explanation from EA Sports.

3. Leonard Fournette, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Madden world, meet the Jacksonville Jaguars new workhorse running back. At 90 Speed, he’s not the fastest player in the rookie class, but he has power to back it up. With just a few outliers, Fournette measures at least in the 80s in ball carrying stats. This includes a Truck rating of 92. His catch rating leaves a little to be desired, but if you’re looking for a new ground-and-pound running back, Fournette is your guy.

Fournette is a workhorse running back, made in the image of when teams lived and died by their run game. It’ll be interesting to see how he does in today’s NFL with a little bit less speed than other feature running backs but more than enough power to back it up.

Also, check out this video of Fournette learning that one of his ratings (obviously outside of the five main ones above) was a 66.
