Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee was carted off the field in Sunday’s practice inside the indoor practice facility at Daily’s Place, the first time the team has utilized the facility. In a non-contact drill, Lee went down and immediately grabbed his leg as linebacker Telvin Smith waved over the medical staff. Lee was put in an air cast and carted off the field.
Lee has a history with injuries throughout his career, in the NFL mostly being nagging soft tissue type of injuries, but the fact that an air cast was put on could mean it’s a bit more serious of an injury and potentially even a break, which could keep him out for weeks.
There is no official update on the state of Lee’s injury at this time, as NFL teams are not currently required to give full injury information, but as the story develops and we learn more we will update.
1:54 PM: According to Ian Rapoport, the Lee injury isn’t serious. *prayer hand emojis*
#Jaguars WR Marqise Lee, who was carted off today, did not suffer a serious injury, source said. Looked a lot worse than it was.
