The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly bringing Dan Carpenter for a tryout in the hopes of replacing a struggling Jason Myers.
#Jaguars are bringing in FA kicker Dan Carpenter to work out and potentially compete with incumbent Jason Myers, source said.

Through the preseason so far, Myers has missed three field goals and an extra point. That is actually bad, folks.
In 2015, Myers missed seven extra points as a rookie. And then he missed three more last year. That is so bad, it is almost impressive. But because he made 53 of 64 field goal attempts over the last two seasons (a respectable 82.8 percent) the Jaguars were able to keep him.
But now it looks like Myers’ days are numbered in Jacksonville as bringing in veteran kickers for tryouts this late in the preseason means opportunities will be limited in practices and games for the rest of the preseason and that a change is likely.
Best of luck, Jason. We’ll always have that game in Baltimore.
