Good defenses don’t just make themselves. They need to go against good players across from them to improve — and if you don’t believe me, just ask New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan.
When asked how it was facing a Hall of Fame-caliber quarterback like Drew Brees everyday in practice, Jordan couldn’t help himself.
Jordan on facing Brees: It helps the defense. Its not like we're going against Blake Bortles. Its not like Drew is giving picks away #Saints

“It helps the defense,” Jordan said on Thursday afternoon on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “It’s not like we’re going against Blake Bortles. It’s not like Drew [Brees] is giving picks away.”
To be fair to Bortles, he’s been less downright awful and more inconsistent. The five-interception anomaly was just that — an anomaly. He needs to do better in terms of mechanics, throwing motion, and decision-making, but he hasn’t really been the interception-machine all camp that we all roasted him for on Saturday night.
That said — BUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNN!
