Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler, Jr. has been officially charged with three misdemeanors in Pinellas County dating back to his July arrest. Fowler was charged with simple battery, criminal mischief, and petty theft.
In what could be related news, Fowler was at EverBank Field today but not practicing with the team.

According to the official police report, Fowler was driving in an apartment complex at about 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, when a man walking in the complex made a comment about Fowler's driving. Fowler got out of his car, had a verbal exchange with the man and the hit the man, knocking off his glasses and stepped on them. Fowler then took the man’s grocery bag and threw it in a lake.
The victim was not injured and did not claim injury, but an independent witness corroborated the victim’s account of the situation. Fowler was arrested with out incident and booked for simple battery and criminal mischief.
He was formally charged on August 10, according to the court records.
