The Jacksonville Jaguars will start veteran quarterback Chad Henne against the Carolina Panthers in their Week 3 preseason matchup, according to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
Henne starts tomorrow night

If you’ve been in an isolation chamber for the past week, you’d have missed Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone opening up the starting quarterback competition between Henne and Blake Bortles.
The move to start Henne shouldn’t be much of a surprise, as soon as Marrone publicly noted the starting quarterback job was up for grabs, the writing was on the wall. In order for it to be opened up, the gap between Henne and Bortles was either small, non-existent or upside down.
#Jaguars say Marrone is planning on also giving Bortles first-team reps.

Bortles will get some fill in snaps with the first team, maybe more if Henne does a solid job on Thursday and the team pulls him out early, but at this point it’s trending to Henne being the team’s starter Week 1 against the Houston Texans, barring a total meltdown.
