With just 30 days until kickoff, let’s talk about second-year running back Corey Grant and his chances to make wear No. 30 for the Jacksonville Jaguars this year.
“Tail lights...”
Grant is a nice piece in any running back group. He flashed speed last year and he’s not just an “outside the tackles” guy. He can run between the guards and can carve out a nice role on special teams over the next few years.
However, his fumbles were a big problem last year and contributed to losses. If he’s able to cut down on turnovers and can work on his catching out of the backfield, he can be a legitimate third down back and make T.J. Yeldon expendable. But if he’s not able to cut down on fumbles (a real sticking point with new head coach Doug Marrone and newly hired VP of football operations Tom Coughlin) then he could see his opportunities limited or even gone completely.
What do you think? How much playing time do you see Grant getting this year?
