Dante Fowler says Jacksonville Jaguars defense had extra motivation against Houston Texans on Sunday - Jacksonville.com
Defensive end Dante Fowler came in Sunday’s opener against the Houston Texans with a point to prove and apparently his defensive teammates felt the same way.
Fowler spoke about how he mostly heard last week about how good the Texans’ defense was after allowing a league-low 301.1 yards per game in 2016, but he thought the Jaguars’ defense wasn’t being regarded the same way despite coming off a season in which they finished sixth in total defense.

The Jacksonville Jaguars could be without wide receiver Allen Robinson for a long time. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the fourth-year receiver sustained a major knee injury, per a source.
Robinson sustained the knee injury on the first drive of the game during his first catch of the season.
3 things the Jacksonville Jaguars did to blow out the Houston Texans - SBNation.com

There hasn’t been much optimism surrounding the Jaguars after preseason revealed Blake Bortles was struggling with the same problems that made 2016 such a depressing grind for the team.
New plan of Leonard Fournette and upgraded defense works in Week 1 for Jacksonville Jaguars - ESPN.com
The formula, at least on Sunday, worked perfectly.
