The Jacksonville Jaguars are 1.5 point under dogs in Week 2 of the NFL according to OddsShark, as the team readies for another AFC South clash against the hated Tennessee Titans. The line is a little bit of a surprise, as the Jaguars blew out a divisional opponent in Week 1 and the Titans lost to a team, albeit a good one, that traveled from the west coast for a 1 p.m. kickoff start.
The matchup this week is going to tell everyone a lot about the Jaguars that we didn’t learn in Week 1 because the Houston Texans were such a dumpster fire. The Jaguars certainly ignited that fire, but there is no doubt Houston is lacking on their offensive line and the Jags defensive line took full advantage.
The Titans however have a much better offensive line than Houston, so it should be a very interesting matchup to watch, really on both sides of the lines of scrimmage. While Houston has one of the better defensive lines (including their OLBs as DL), the Jaguars were able to block them up and effectively run the football and pass protection. The Titans also have a good front seven, so it will be another big test for the Jaguars offensive line, who had a shockingly good performance.
Personally, I’m riding the wave and taking the Jaguars to win outright on Sunday.
