2017 Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad: Live tracker and updates

The Jacksonville Jaguars have finalized their 53-man roster and now they’re putting together their 2017 practice squad. There will be signings, promotions, and cuts throughout the season, but the initial 10-man practice squad will be finalized soon.

10:56 AM: Well this took a long time. 10 players on the practice squad now.

3:24 PM: We’re up to seven total on the practice squad. Running back Tim Cook and defensive end Hunter Dimick are there.

3:21 PM: Two more additions to the Jaguars practice squad — wide receiver Amba Etta-Tawo and offensive lineman Avery Gennesy.

3:14 PM: This guy won’t quit. Backup offensive lineman Chris Reed makes the Jaguars practice squad.

2:49 PM: The Jaguars have signed defense back Tracy Howard and tight end David Grinnage to their practice squad

1:21 PM: Very surprising to see backup quarterback Brandon Allen released after not really getting much of a shot to compete with Blake Bortles and Chad Henne. If he passes waivers, he’d be a practice squad candidate.
