The Jacksonville Jaguars ran a total of 61 plays against the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday: 26 passes and 35 runs.
And only one went for negative yards — a kneel down by Blake Bortles to run out the clock into halftime.

As you can see it’s on first down which is very frustrating for this offense as they typically like to set themselves up for second down runs that can get them into third-and-short opportunities. A pass might have been the better option for Bortles here, but offensive coordinator has been known to play it safe with early-down runs throughout the season.
Let’s just hope the New England Patriots don’t see this and extrapolate some sort of strategy to frustrate the Jaguars on first downs or else it could be a long day next Sunday.
