The Jacksonville Jaguars may very well have a couple of All-Pro players when the season is all said and done — and Pro Football Focus got the party started early.
Sam Monson over at Pro Football Focus compiled his 2017 All-Pro Team and three Jaguars defenders made the list:
CB1 Jalen Ramsey
CB2 A.J. Bouye
DE2 Calais Campbell
About Ramsey, Monson was effusive in his praise.
Jacksonville’s Jalen Ramsey has developed into one of the game’s most fearsome cornerbacks already in just his second year in the league. Ramsey has as much athletic talent as any player in football, and this season we saw him put it all together, with the terrifying prospect that he may not be done developing still hanging over the rest of the league. Ramsey’s overall PFF grade of 92.2 was second only to Hayward over the season for a cornerback, and he saved some of his best performances for the toughest opposition he faced.
I might have liked to have seen Malik Jackson take one of the four spots they allowed for interior defensive linemen. According to Ryan O’Halloran, Jackson finished the regular season with 39 tackles, eight sacks, 4.5 additional quarterback hits, and 21 other pressures.
Do you think any other Jaguars players deserved a spot on the list? Let us know in the comments below!
