Week 4 Pro Football Focus insights: Blake Bortles, Dede Westbrook earn high grades

Pro Football Focus is charting everything when it comes to the 2018 NFL regular season and that includes the Week 4 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.

So who was the cream of the crop on Sunday? Let’s check it out!

Offense

  • The team’s highest graded player on offense was wide receiver Dede Westbrook with a 90.0 overall grade, ranking fourth among receivers in Week 4. Westbrook did most of his damage in the slot where he lined up on 94.3 percent of his snaps, his nine receptions and 130 receiving yards ranked first and second from the slot in Week 4.
  • Blake Bortles was cool under pressure against the Jets on Sunday. He achieved the highest passer rating of any quarterback under pressure at 136.8 and his 128 passing yards while under duress ranked fifth overall.

Defense

  • Cornerback A.J. Bouye earned the seventh highest coverage grade among cornerbacks for the week with an 82.5 coverage grade. Bouye only gave up one reception against the Jets for just six yards. He locked down the Jets receivers all game only seeing a target once every 39 coverage snaps, the lowest rate among corners in Week 4.
  • Edge defender Yannick Ngakoue was getting after the quarterback all game on Sunday, his seven total pressures were tied for the most by an edge defender in week four and his highest of the season so far. Ngakoue ranked sixth overall with a pass rush productivity of 12.9 which was also his highest of the season.
