Live blog

3:39 PM: The Jaguars drive inside Texans territory until a 3rd down pass from Kessler is tipped off the hands of Yeldon and into the hands of Mathieau, Game over.

3:25 PM: AJ Cann allows Clowney to toss him into the trash, and sacks Kessler forcing a 3rd & 12 that goes nowhere. Jags punt.

3:19 PM: The defense forces a Texans punt and Kessler and the offense take over inside their 20. Big drive here that will determine whether or not there is any hope for a comeback.

3:09 PM: TOUCHDOWN! Cody Kessler drives the team 40 yards and completes a 6 yard pass to TJ Yeldon in the end zone. 20-7 Texans with 3:20 left in the third quarter. The Jags back up breathes some life into the game.

2:52 PM: Well folks, the Jags have benched Bortles for Cody Kessler. Kessler goes 14 yards and out. He sucks too.

2:41 PM: If you had “Bortles will turn it over here”, winner winner! Oh, and the Texans score on a Hopkins touchdown reception to follow it up. 20-0 Texans.

2:37 PM: The Texans are forces to punt for only the second time today as the defense holds, but the punt is downed at the 1 thanks to a lackluster blocking effort by Westbrook. So to save you some time, the Jaguars will punt and or Bortles will turn it over here.

2:15 PM: The Jaguars do nothing with the ball besides try to assassinate Blake Bortles on some scrambles. Houston takes the ball into the half up 13-0. The third straight week they trail by double digits at the half without scoring.

2:01 PM: Houston scores on a 7 yard Miller run untouched following a dropped gimme interception in the end zone by Tashaun Gipson. The team is an absolute train wreck. 13-0 Texans half through the 2nd quarter.

1:50 PM: The Jags choose to punt on 4th & inches, after DJ Chark catches a 3rd down pass just short of the marker. Cooke punts it just 26 yards and the Texans have great position.

1:46 PM: Defense forces the first Texans punt of the game, thanks to pressure by the Jags defensive line, finally. Jags take over inside their 10 yard line.

1:32 PM: Another Jaguars drive on offense, another dropped pass by Cole on 3rd down. Would’ve had to make a play cause he was short of the sticks, but this offense is very, very poor.

1:27 PM: Jags defense forces 3rd & 21 with the Texans outside range, but allow a 16 yard Lamar Miller run to get them into position to make it a 6-0 game, as we near the end of the first quarter.

1:18 PM: After some solid running by TJ Yeldon and a 20 yard completion on 3rd down to Donte Moncrief, the Jags offense stalls outside field goal range thanks to an awful drop by Keelan Cole. Jags punt into the end zone.

1:10 PM: The Jags defense responds unlike the last couple weeks, with a 3rd down sack on Watson by a combo of Ngakoue & Fowler Jr. Texans convert the field goal attempt, and take the early lead, 3-0.

1:06 PM: Blake Bortles fumbles on 3rd down while running into perfect protection for no reason, recovered by Jadeveon Clowney. Texans ball inside the Jags territory and we’re in for a long day.

1:01 PM: Texans win the toss, defer, and we’ll see the Jags offense first...God help us.

12:58 PM: Live crowd at The Ba......ew.

12:50 PM: Good afternoon and welcome to the live blog! With the Titans loss this morning, this game has enhanced in importance even more as the winner will now be in sole possession of first place in the AFC South. A quick note, newly acquired running back Carlos Hyde is inactive, and will make his Jags debut in London it appears.
