Pro Football Focus is charting everything when it comes to the 2018 NFL regular season and that includes the Week 7 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans.
So who was the cream of the crop and who did poorly on Sunday? Let’s check it out!
Offense
- Guard Andrew Norwell continues to struggle allowing three total pressures versus the Texans, the most he has allowed in one game since Week 6 of last season against the Eagles. He has given up a total of 11 pressures this season after only allowing 15 all of last season.
- While both Blake Bortles and Cody Kessler struggled while under center, they were not helped by their receivers who combined to drop a total of five passes versus the Texans. This was the most drops by a team this week, with receiver Keelan Cole dropping three of his seven targets.
Defense
- Calais Campbell earned the fifth highest grade by an edge defender in Week 7. He produced an overall grade of 91.2 versus the Texans with an elite 90.4 run defense grade which ranked second among edge defenders.
- Interior defender Marcell Dareus had one of the better pass rushing performances by a defensive lineman this week with a pass rush productivity rating of 10, which ranked ninth among interior defenders. He totaled two pressures versus the Texans on his way to a pass rush grade 77.6 pass rush grade.
