Charcandrick West also working out for Jaguars, per report

NFL: AFC Wild Card-Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars added a running back from the Denver Broncos practice squad, reportedly, and will be bringing in Jamaal Charles for a workout. Add another name to the list of running backs the Jaguars are working out on Tuesday, former Kansas City Chiefs running back Charcandrick West.

The 26-year old running back spent his first four seasons with the Chiefs getting sporadic carries as a backup player the past few seasons totaling in 266 carries for 999 yards with seven touchdowns, including 75 receptions for 552 yards and five touchdowns.

Like Charles, West could be a solid option as a part-time player or rotational player with Yeldon while Leonard Fournette is still out. Of the two between Charles and West, I’d probably lean to West simply because he’s got a lot less wear and tear and is a lot less reliant on his speed than someone like Charles was.

It will be interesting to see if the Jaguars will bring in some more guys.
