The Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted rookie cornerback Dee Delaney to the active roster from the practice squad.
The Jaguars now have 53 players on their active roster.
Delaney originally signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted rookie this offseason and has appeared in one career game, in the team’s Week 8 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. He attended The Citadel, appearing in 37 games and totaling 132 tackles, 13 interceptions, and 32 passes defensed before transferring to Miami (Fla.) for his final season where he registered 39 tackles, two passes defensed, and one interception.
Delaney is the most decorated All-American in The Citadel’s football history after being named Walter Camp All-American in 2015-2016 and a first-team Associated Press All American in 2016.
He will wear No. 37 for the Jaguars.
