Week 15 Pro Football Focus insights: Dede Westbrook is all the Jaguars offense has right now

NFL: Washington Redskins at Jacksonville Jaguars Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports

Pro Football Focus is charting everything when it comes to the 2018 NFL regular season and that includes the Week 15 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington.

So who was the cream of the crop and who did poorly on Sunday? Let’s check it out!

Offense

  • For the second week in a row WR Dede Westbrook was the Jaguars highest graded player on offense. His overall grade of 76.5 ranked 18th among receivers, the bulk of his grade game in the run game where he ran for 20 yards on a jet sweep as the passing game struggled.
  • Cody Kessler had a day to forget, completing only 9-of-17 passes for 57 yards. He was completely unable to challenge down the field and failed to complete a single pass that travelled more than 10 yards in the air. He was able to move the chains on the ground through scrambles as he ran for 68 yards and four first downs against Washington. His rushing grade of 77.0 was the highest by a QB in Week 15.

Defense

  • Interior defender Abry Jones earned his highest grade of the season with an overall PFF grade of 85.0, the tenth highest grade by an interior defender this Week. Jones dominated in run defense, his four stops on 26 run snaps ranked second and his run stop percentage of 20 ranked seventh.
  • Edge defender Calais Campbell continues to be the only bright spot on the team with another excellent performance. His run defense grade of 86.1 ranked third among edge defenders in Week 15, no other edge defender had more stops than Campbell with five (three versus the run, two versus the pass).
