It makes total sense to let Rashad Greene take up a spot on the 53-man roster over giving Lazard a chance (and security with the team if he was better than Greene) in a lost year where you’re giving backups snaps in the name of roster analysis.
Oh wait, no it doesn’t.
Anyway, Flowers played collegiately at Oklahoma from 2014 to 2017 and appeared in 53 games with 32 starts, totaling 151 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries and 886 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns on 54 catches. After going undrafted, Flowers spent time with the New York Jets before a one-day stint on the Jaguars’ practice squad in October.
Veasy played collegiately at the University of California, Berkeley (Cal) after stints at Golden West College, Itawamba Community College, and Faulkner University. During two seasons at Cal, he caught 63 passes for 797 yards and nine touchdowns. After going undrafted in 2018, Veasy spent part of the offseason with the Tennessee Titans.
The Jaguars currently have 10 players on their practice squad.
