Keelan Cole looked like he tackled Dede Westbrook and then had a hilarious explanation why

The Jacksonville Jaguars offense, if nothing else, is a close knit group of guys. They’re looking out for one another and they’re keeping each other’s spirits up — you kind of have to at the tail end of a disappointing season where you’re 4-8 instead of 8-4.

One such instance of that brotherhood happened when Dede Westbrook caught a pass from Cody Kessler on a pivotal third down. Kessler was hit as the pocket collapsed around him and Westbrook grabbed it and ran, dragging defenders towards the Colts’ 40-yard line while getting twisted up himself. Cole is seen watching the play for a moment before getting into the play and...

...pushing Westbrook to the ground?

On first watch it looked a little weird. Was Cole trying to push him along and just got the angle wrong?

But then Westbrook cleared it up this morning by saying Cole pushed him to the ground on purpose because “the Calvary was coming and you were about to get f****d up”.

Hopefully the two can continue to look out for one another on a short week of preparation for their next game in Nashville against the Tennessee Titans.
