Another day, another mock draft — this time going two rounds deep for the Jacksonville Jaguars as they seek to plug some holes on the offensive side of the ball.
Dan Kadar over at MockingTheDraft.com has the first two picks and they’re going with an athletic tight end in the first round and a quarterback in the second round... but which quarterback will be available that late?
Let’s get to the picks!
29. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dallas Goedert, TE, South Dakota State
The NFL is a copycat league, and there will be plenty of teams this offseason looking for their own version of Zach Ertz — in other words, a tight end who beats defenders with a mixture of crafty route running, athleticism, and size. That’s basically Goedert in a nutshell.
61. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State
Goedert would be a pick that screams “win now” for this organization and I’d love to pair him with the likes of Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, and Dede Westbrook in this passing offense.
And Rudolph would infuse a lot of confidence into this front office — not only are they humble enough to admit a mistake with Blake Bortles, but they’re willing to do something about it when they have a window of at least the next two years boasting one of the best defenses in the league.
What do you think? How would you grade a draft that had Dallas Goedert and Mason Rudolph in the first two rounds?
