Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell spoke at the 2018 NFL Combine on Wednesday afternoon and should have alleviated some of the growing concerns of Jaguars fans on keeping some of their pending free agents. Caldwell indicated that the Jaguars have the salary cap space to re-sign both wide receiver Allen Robinson and cornerback Aaron Colvin.
Caldwell says they cap space to re-sign Colvin and Robinson. #Jaguars

While most assumed that the Jaguars would keep Robinson, because quite frankly it would be stupid of them to let him walk, it’s good to hear Caldwell mention that not only will the Jaguars be meeting with their current free agents this week, but that the team could afford to keep both if they want to.
With the recent reshuffling of cap space the team has done with releasing running back Chris Ivory and re-signing Blake Bortles, the team can make the necessary deals to keep both Colvin and Robinson now.
I’m still unsure if Colvin will be back, but if he’s willing re-sign before hitting the market and the Jaguars can keep virtually their entire starting eleven on defense... well that’s ideal.
