After coming just a quick whistle away from the Super Bowl, the Jacksonville Jaguars announced a promising youngster to begin their off-season. He just happens to be a golfer.

On Wednesday, the team announced European Tour winner Julian Suri as its new official ambassador. No, not Julian Edelman. Julian Suri.

The Jacksonville Jaguars went from 3-13 to the AFC Championship and the biggest reason was coaching. Sure, the defense was historically productive, but with a change needed at kicker in the middle of the season, a rookie leading the run game, the quarterback acting as an anchor, their best player on offense injured after one catch, and a patchwork offensive line, the coaches had to be great to squeeze all they could out of this team.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are back. The days of double-digit losses (six consecutive years) appear to be over for the foreseeable future. The jokes are gone, the losing streaks are gone.

With an improvement of seven games from last year’s 3-13 club, the Jaguars’ 10-6 mark in the regular season was good enough to win the AFC South.
