Just a few days ago, it seemed a given the media availability for Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell and coach Doug Marrone would be quarterback-dominated.

Will they pick up Blake Bortles’ fifth-year option? Will they go after Kirk Cousins? Will they be a candidate to draft a passer at No. 29?

But Bortles’ new contract, signed Saturday night, detoured the narrative Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine in one direction: Toward receiver Allen Robinson, who will be a free agent for the first time in his career on March 14.

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell spoke at the 2018 NFL Combine on Wednesday afternoon and should have alleviated some of the growing concerns of Jaguars fans on keeping some of their pending free agents. Caldwell indicated that the Jaguars have the salary cap space to re-sign both wide receiver Allen Robinson and cornerback Aaron Colvin.
