2018 NFL free agency: Which offensive linemen should the Jaguars sign?

Offensive line is one of a handful of positions the Jacksonville Jaguars are likely to pursue in free agency.

The Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line was actually pretty good last year. They helped Leonard Fournette and the running backs to a league-high 2,262 rushing yards in the regular season and averaged just 1.5 sacks allowed per game.

But they’ll need to upgrade, especially along the interior. The guards on either side aren’t yet settled and if there’s a position this team targets in free agency, I think this is it.

Are there any offensive linemen worth going after next week?

Here’s Spotrac’s full listing of all free agent offensive guards in 2018.

Targets

Andrew Norwell is probably the best guard in the free agency class, but I have a hard time seeing the Jaguars splashing that much on an interior lineman after hard passing on the free agent class last season. With that in mind, I’m leaning towards New York Giants offensive lineman Justin Pugh. Pugh has a connection with both Tom Coughlin and Jaguars offensive line coach Pat Flaherty. They know him as a player in and out and he’s shown versatility on the offensive line. The big thing is he’d be an upgrade at either guard position, and really that’s where the Jaguars need the biggest upgrade on the line.

Wishful thinking

Luke Joe-I’m so sorry.

Josh Sitton is 31-years-old so I don’t see that. And as we said above, Norwell is the best in class but he’s going to command a ton of money.

What do you think? Will the Jaguars go after a veteran guard in free agency? If so, who’s most likely to sign?
