Grant, who made the team as an undrafted rookie, was initially brought in as a kickoff specialist and gunner. He has impressed in spurts, earning 68 rushes for 414 yards (6.1 yards per carry) and three touchdowns. He had a 57-yard fake punt touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers last year and finished the season with nine receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown.
This year, the second round tender is valued at $2.914 million. If he signs an offer sheet and the Jaguars decline to match, they would receive a second-round pick as compensation from the new team.
Grant is set to become a restricted free agent on March 14 at 4 p.m. ET.
