We’re 27 days out from the 2018 NFL Draft. Every day between now and then we’ll be predicting a different team’s draft pick until we get to the Jacksonville Jaguars!

The No. 2 overall pick is in and with 2,571 total votes cast, the New York Giants have selected Penn State running back Saquon Barkley with over 44 percent of the vote!

2018 BCC mock draft results

No. 1: Cleveland Browns — QB Sam Darnold

No. 2: New York Giants — RB Saquon Barkley

Eli Manning isn’t being replaced this year according to the readers. Davis Webb is the only other quarterback on the roster and instead of going with either of Josh Allen or Josh Rosen, they decide to grab the best non-quarterback in the entire draft.

Now it’s the New York Jets who figure to look at one of the remaining quarterbacks left.

Possible picks

  1. QB Josh Allen — He needs a little more time than Darnold which could be exactly what the Jets want to do — after all they signed Teddy Bridgewater and Josh McCown to short-term deals earlier this month.
  2. QB Josh Rosen — He’s described as the most pro-ready quarterback in Mel Kiper’s latest mock draft and he’s got a really strong arm.
  3. QB Baker Mayfield — After his freshman year, Mayfield absolutely tore it up. His numbers over the last three seasons are insane — just under 70 percent completion percentage, 10.6 yards per attempt, and an over 5-to-1 ratio of touchdowns to interceptions. He’s good, folks.
  4. DE Bradley Chubb — With two serviceable quarterbacks on the roster, what if the Jets go get a pass rusher?
