What free agent should the Jaguars target?

It’s sneaking up quickly, but the 2018 NFL free agency period begins in less than a week, and tampering begins early next week. The Jacksonville Jaguars actually being good the season has made the offseason much shorter, thankfully. The past few seasons around this team we’re all at each other’s throats about who they should be picking in Round 6 of the NFL Draft and what third wave free agents are on our wish list because we’ve discussed everything. Now we’re calling each other stupid for not franchising a good player.

Man, that’s much more refreshing.

So, with free agency next week and the Jaguars having about $30 million in cap room, is there one specific free agent you hope the team targets to add to their roster?

For me, I’d love to say Andrew Norwell, but I have a hard time seeing the Jaguars splashing that much on an interior lineman after hard passing on the free agent class last season. With that in mind, I’m leaning towards New York Giants offensive lineman Justin Pugh. Pugh has a connection with both Tom Coughlin and Jaguars offensive line coach Pat Flaherty. They know him as a player in and out and he’s shown versatility on the offensive line. The big thing is he’d be an upgrade at either guard position, and really that’s where the Jaguars need the biggest upgrade on the line.
