While he’s not completely out the door just yet, the general feeling is that pending free agent wide receiver Allen Robinson won’t be on the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018, but some of his teammates hope he’s back on the team. Those teammates include some of the defensive players, such as pass rush Yannick Ngakoue who expressed his desire for the Jaguars to re-sign Robinson on Sirius XM NFL radio on Friday morning.
“He’s a great guy on and off the field,” Ngakoue said when asked about Robinson. “I would love to have him back. He’s a crazy deep threat receiver, that’s the type of caliber player you want you your team. I’m personally pulling for him and hoping he comes back.”
I’m sure Ngakoue’s sentiments are echoed by a lot of his teammates, especially those on the offense. The Jaguars have exclusive negotiating rights with Robinson until the official start of NFL free agency on March 14, however beginning on March 12 NFL teams can begin expressing interest officially to his agent.
If the Jaguars don’t re-sign Robinson prior to March 14, it’s unlikely he’ll be back.
